Making Connections
One of CDI’s values is partnership. We know the worth of working with others who are interesting in helping the same people and communities that we are. The adaptive equipment team is walking that out all the time. One way the team can distribute their useful equipment for children with disabilities is to network with other NGO’s, offering their products and finding people with needs. The team was surprised to see one of their members really shine in this aspect of the work. “Prince” is a young Kyrgyz man with skills in construction and carpentry. However, as the team began their networking, Prince did a great job at explaining the project and interacting with people, drawing people into the work. Now, whenever the team has contact with another NGO, Prince is greeting old friends. It’s all part of transforming lives, families, and communities.
