Kyrgyz Woman puts Perinatal Education into Action

In the midst of a grueling eleven hour labor, a woman found herself largely alone and unsupported by medical staff. She shared with CDI that she had to rely on the breathing techniques and relaxation exercises she had learned during pregnancy via our online labor and birth education classes. Those lessons became an invaluable source of strength. They helped her stay calm, manage the pain and stress of labor, and confidently navigate the birth of her child. In the end, she was able to have a successful natural birth.

Looking back, she shared:

“I am deeply grateful for what I learned in the labor and birth classes. The six online lessons prepared me not only for childbirth but also for motherhood. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the knowledge, support, and warmth you provided!”

The impact of the classes did not end with the birth. She continues to apply what she learned, especially the importance of exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months. Today, both mother and daughter are healthy, happy, and doing well—a beautiful reminder that education, encouragement, and practical support can make a lasting difference in a family’s life.
