Press Release: New Arrival

CDI are pleased to announce the safe arrival of the ‘Miracle of Life Handbook’! Weighing a very healthy 345 kg, the 2000 copies of the handbook for new mothers arrived back from the printers last week. With 48 full colour pages, the book provides information and advice on pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. We have adapted a previous edition of the book to meet the needs in Kyrgyzstan, and added new sections on anemia and family planning. In communities where few resources are available on these much-discussed topics, the book – in people’s own language – has caused great excitement! We are confident that as the book is distributed throughout Southern Kyrgyzstan it will lead to better health and education for women and their families.
